We finally got a quality bigeye to the boat this season. We had a great trip out with mike on poorman to the canyons. We started the day bailing mahi, getting about a dozen, then got a yellowfin on the troll before dark. Once the sun set, we broke off a bigeye on a bar, then this one ate on the bridge pole (for some reason it was a 50). 45 min into the fight, we realized that a guide broke and the line began to chaff badly. We ended up fighting the fish for 4.5 hours and somehow got it to the boat without braking it off or sharks taking her.
