SYNOPSIS: A NE wind flow will develop tonight and bring cool marine air back to all of Delmarva. Look for low clouds and cooler weather Friday over the entire region. A cool front will clear out the clouds on Saturday and bring temps. in the upper 60's with a north breeze. Sunday looks fairly cloudy and cooler again as cooler air arrives from the north. DELMARVA FORECAST Tonight: Cloudy, breezy and turning cooler. Low 48°. Wind: NE 9-17 mph. Friday: Mostly cloudy, and cooler. High 63-65°. Beaches 55°. Wind: NE 5-11 mph. Friday Night: Mostly cloudy and cool. Low 52°. Beaches 54°. Wind: SE 4-10 mph. Saturday: Mostly sunny and breezy. High 68°. Beaches 58°. Wind: N 10-18 mph. Forecast Discussion: Look for increasing clouds tonight as a NE wind brings in a layer of cool marine air from the Atlantic. It will turn cooler with lows near 48 inland and 53 on the beaches. Friday will be partly to mostly cloudy and it will be cooler. Afternoon high temps will be around 63 degrees with a light wind in the afternoon hours. It will be cooler on the beaches with temps. near 55 degrees all day. Winds on Friday will be light from the northeast. Look for lows near 52° with mostly cloudy skies by daybreak Saturday. Saturday will be mostly sunny, and it will be breezy all day. Afternoon high temps will be around 68 degrees with a north wind at 12-18 mph in the afternoon hours. It will be cooler still on the beaches with temps. near 59 degrees all day. Look for lows near 44° with mostly cloudy skies by daybreak Sunday. In the long-range: Sunday will be mostly cloudy with temps. reaching the low to mid 60's after a morning low near 45°. Monday and Tuesday look sunny with temps. In the mid 60's which is near the average for later in April. Clouds increase Wednesday with temps. near 69°, but it will turn cooler again with sunshine on Thursday as a front passes. Look for highs only 60° Thursday. Friday looks cool as well with the highest temps. near 62°. The average low for today is 46° and the high is 67°.

The numbers are in and we are in for a very hyperactive hurricane season in the Atlantic Basin. Nearly 2 times the normal average of named storms, 11 hurricanes and 5-6 of them being major.

There is a good amount of fog across Delmarva that has settled in only in the last hour or so. If you're wondering why there might not be school delays, it's tough for school administrators to make that call when fog wasn't around just an hour ago in many places. Have patience.

What a difference a few miles will make today for temperatures across Delmarva. Some of us across northern and eastern parts of the Peninsula will be in the 50s and 60s while the farther south and west will reach the 70s to near 80 degrees. Cooler weather will push across Delmarva for all as we head into this evening and tonight...and could lead to some fog tomorrow morning!

DELMARVA FORECAST Tonight: Cloudy with a few showers around. Low 57°. Wind: S 3-9 mph. Thursday: Partly sunny. High 72° Salisbury/Cambridge area with 62-65° from Dover to Georgetown and only near 55° on the Beaches. Wind: N 7-15 mph. Thursday Night: Partly cloudy and cooler. Low 49°. Beaches 50°. Wind: NE 6-10 mph. Friday: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy, and cooler. High 66°. Beaches 55°. Wind: E 1-6 mph. Forecast Discussion: Look for some showers around this evening, with cloudy skies as a low-pressure system moves across the area Skies will clear some late tonight, and it will stay very mild with lows near 55-57 degrees by daybreak. Weather First At 4: Wednesday Edition

It's been said that our area is one of the most challenging regions in the USA for weather forecasting because of the micro-climates that exist here. Tomorrow is a perfect example to that testament. We will be dealing with a psudo-back door from coming from New Jersey and there is going to be at times a 20 degree temperature difference in areas maybe 25 miles away from each other depending how quickly it moves. How do i not have grey hairs yet forecasting the last 15 years in this region is beyond me! -Hunter

Got a few thunderstorms rolling across areas of northern Maryland this morning. Moving towards the east north east over the next 1-2 hours. Quite a bit of lightning is associated with these storms and maybe see a little bit of some small hail as well. These storms will move in from Dover on northward.

After a lovely start to our morning, things will start to gray up as the clouds increase with a weak boundary on the way from the Ohio River Valley. The chance of showers start to go up into the afternoon with our best chance of showers this evening. This is NOT a guarantee that it will rain where you will live, but the chance is there later today. SYNOPSIS: A cool front has stalled to our south, but a low-pressure wave will move along it tomorrow and bring some light rain to the area. Partly sunny weather will follow on Thursday with a north breeze on the back side of a low-pressure system in the Atlantic. DELMARVA FORECAST Tonight: Clear to partly cloudy, and cool. Low 49-51°. Wind: SE 2-6 mph. Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with passing showers around PM. High 68°. Beaches 60°. Wind: S 7-16 mph. Wednesday Night: Cloudy with a few showers around. Low 55°. Beaches 55°. Wind: S 6-15 mph. Thursday: Partly sunny. High 69-70°. Beaches 60°. Wind: N 6-14 mph. Forecast Discussion: Look for mostly clear skies tonight with light winds and cooler temperatures as a dry air mass settles over the region. This air mass is from New England and should have less pine pollen in it. Look for lowest temps. near 49-51 degrees by daybreak. Wednesday looks mostly cloudy and we will see some passing showers around as a warm front forms to our south. Temperatures will reach 68-70 degrees in the afternoon despite the clouds and showers around. Showers are likely Wednesday night with an onshore breeze bringing in marine air to all of the area. Look for lows near 55 with cloudy skies by daybreak Thursday. Thursday will be mostly cloudy and we will see a few spotty showers in the area. Afternoon high temps will be around 69-70 degrees with a north breeze at 10-14 mph in the afternoon hours. It will be cooler on the beaches with temps. near 59 degrees all day. Look for lows near 49 with cloudy skies by daybreak Friday. It will be milder on the beaches with morning lows in the low/mid 50's. Winds will be light from the NE. In the long-range: Clouds will hang around on Friday and temps. will be near 62° in the afternoon hours. Saturday will be cool with showers around and temps. near 68° and it will turn cooler Sunday and Monday with clouds and temps. in the low 60's PM. The average low for today is 45° and the high is 66°.

We will wash some of the pollen out of the air in places tomorrow afternoon as the chance of a few showers will arrive on a warm front. It will not be an all day event or a guarantee you will see rain in your neighborhood, but the chance will be there on Wednesday.

We have a really nice Tuesday on the way to the Peninsula. Temperatures climb up into the 70s this afternoon across the area with sunshine, but at our beach towns it will be cooler thanks to the wind coming in off the Atlantic. Enjoy friends...unless you suffer from allergies!

Southern Accomack County in southeastern Virginia... * Until 745 PM EDT. * At 656 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles west of Onancock, or 13 miles north of Exmore, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines. * This severe thunderstorm will be near... Onancock around 700 PM EDT. Onley around 705 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Locustville, Harborton, Melfa, Pungoteague, Painter, Tasley, Keller, Wachapreague, Accomac, and Quinby.
